The Code of Practice for the Care and Handling of Goats is currently under revision.
Timeline of Code development:

- Public comment period: Friday December 18, 2020 to Monday February 22, 2021
- Projected completion: Winter 2021
The Codes of Practice are nationally developed guidelines for the care and handling of the different species of farm animals. The Codes contain recommendations for housing and management practices for farm animals as well as transportation and processing.
The Code of Practice for the Care and Handling of Goats was released in 2003.
