Josh Hourie

Communications Coordinator

Josh Hourie is the SaskSPCA’s Communications Coordinator.

Josh joined the Society in October 2015 following stints in the radio business and the arts and culture sector. Josh has overseen the SaskSPCA’s social media, events, fundraising initiatives, and more. In 2020, Josh was instrumental in establishing the SaskSPCA Pet Food Bank.

After joining the SaskSPCA team, Josh became more aware of the many challenges facing the animal welfare sector, including animal abuse and neglect, cat overpopulation, and the link between animal abuse and domestic violence. His increased awareness of these issues has strengthened his desire to help improve the lives of pets, livestock, and wildlife.

Josh, his wife Julie, and their son Jack, share their lives with dogs Shotze and Lady, and cats Ewing and Toot.
