We are pleased to welcome Saskatoon businessperson Calvin Nickel as the new President of the SaskSPCA Board of Directors. He has a lengthy record of community involvement, having served as a board member on a number of organizations over the years, including both the SaskSPCA and the Saskatoon SPCA. 

Calvin freely admits he has a soft spot for all dogs, but is particularly fond of Missy, a German Shepherd-Collie cross recently adopted from the Yorkton SPCA. He explains that throughout his life he has always had at least one dog and is quick to take in any dog from family members who need to rehome their pets. 

He is pleased to be serving on our board as we embark on a number of major initiatives, notably the construction of the SaskSPCA Emergency Care Centre.
